I have watched several tutorial videos on YouTube that show the feature does work, or at least it did at one time. And with an optional GoPro Plus subscription, it’s even easier to create and share epic videos with Quik. Automatically import1 your footage and create awesome videos synced to music in just a few clicks. Weve taken our most popular videos and turned them into GoPro Edit Templates that help fast-track you to an incredible edit. I tested “Quik for Desktop” running on an older Apple iMac desktop computer (Intel) as well as a newer Apple MacBook Air (M1) - the “Adjust Gauges” feature didn’t work on either device. GoPro Quik Desktop makes it easy to access, edit and enjoy your GoPro photos and videos. GoPro Quik (was GoPro Studio) software makes it easier than ever to create professional-quality videos with your GoPro content. I have NO IDEA why the “Adjust Gauges” feature in “Quik for Desktop” doesn’t work. The good news is that GoPro are working on a brand new. Promisingly, Woodman added'our new desktop app will sync. GoPro does also have the 'GoPro Player + ReelSteady' app on desktop, but that is more of a media player with specialist editing tools, rather than a genuine Quik equivalent. There will be no 'updates' or 'patches' to the software to fix any issues as the software is discontinued (and has been for a number of years). This is good news for GoPro subscribers who'd rather edit videos on a PC or Mac than on the GoPro Quik mobile app. It is discontinued, unsupported, out of date software. If you can determine the exact time of each video frame, you can use the exiftool -geotag and -geosync options to read the GPX file and geotag the extracted frames. Quik for desktop is an app that was discontinued by GoPro over 4 years ago at this point. C’mon GoPro - frame grabs from video could, and should include GPS info! It’s worth noting the frame grab (shown above) does include EXIF but does not include GPS info for latitude, longitude, and elevation. Star of the show is a ‘mural’ page for keeping track of your favourite photos and videos, though it’s video-centric and you do. As you can see by the telemetry “Stickers” shown in the preceding frame grab, Kyle’s video does in fact include GPS data. Much improved on the original Quik app and a total refresh for all GoPro users, the action camera maker’s new device-agnostic app has a slick new user interface including new filters, tools and music.
