11/14/2023 0 Comments Kiesel pale moon ebony![]() ![]() If you're going to make an objective statement about quality when talking about a brand - make one - don't pull it out of your ass. You shouldn't be a blind brand loyalist - and I would appreciate it if you'd answer my question - because what you said, was nonsense. Oddly, the same can be said for Ibanez Prestige, except they're normally the closest to perfect - but I'm not a big Ibanez guy. No Kiesel I've ever touched is perfect, but all close. ![]() None of my Andersons are "perfect", but close. The bridge they were using 18 months ago on some guitars was new, and hand an uncomfortable edge in some cases with palm muting - that was corrected with the manufacturer.Īs far as your argument goes - you have no basis at all for your opinion other than being an Anderson fanboi. Screwing up an order - which will happen with any custom shop - and they allow returns up to 10 days. Objectively, the only place I've seen Kiesel fail is: 1. Of course you're done replying - you popped in with a one liner and got called out - so why not finish up? So, if you make twice the guitars, and have twice as many QC your argument falls completely apart - and that is the case. The various components of the guitar are virtually identical, as is the manufacturing process - tell me why I'm delusional. Anderson is simply more boutique - meaning lower volume. Like Anderson, Kiesel relies on modern manufacturing techniques. Like Anderson, Kiesel employees have been around forever. Kiesl builds about 15x the guitars with 15x the staff, a bigger facility, and essentially the same (but more) automation equipment. Am I delusional because you've "played a few in San Diego" and I own both? Or am I delusional because I'm wrong about anything I've stated above? Both builders have extensive videos available regarding their processes - they are virtually identical - tell me where they're not. ![]() I commonly recommend TA guitars - so I'm not offended that you like them. Okay - since I own both and like both and have researched the manufacturing of both - why don't you tell me why I'm delusional? What is the differentiating factor between the two? ![]() Good luck- make sure you post pictures when you get it. It's also one of the reasons they don't sell many guitars and the demand isn't, and has never been there in the market. Kiesel not having a standard line that you can touch in a store is one of the things that keep their prices down. The quality of materials isn't going to help you - there are many guitar companies that use the highest quality of materials whose guitars are in demand - that's not Kiesel. Maybe since you're close to the Kiesel shop you can get some idea of exactly what you're buying - that would probably help. But, they know they've never touched a Kiesel, and know they are custom guitars - this is one of the things that drive down resale. More importantly, the fact is that 90% of guitarists don't really know what a neck profile is by number, what a fretboard radius is by measurement, etc. you've got anything wrong, you don't like it, don't want it, and can't sell it - despite the good quality, most of us are VERY skeptical of buying custom guitars in resale. I owned a Carvin DC-125 years ago - nice guitar, and I know that Kiesel makes quality guitars. Kiesel's very low resale (objectively) and the number of people unloading them (what I've witnessed firsthand) speak for themselves. I mean it's a crapshot - it doesn't have anything to do with them making good guitars. ![]()
